Especially when wielded by heavies.
The balance changes to TTK if you dig really deep seems to answer the question, "What kind of accuracy does a rifle user need to kill a heavy?"
When heavy's starting HP is 750-1200 HP before resistances and modules that means that well over half of your clip will have to go into a heavy to kill them. There will be more bullet sponges.
More bullet sponges, and higher nanite costs for grenades, and lower nanites in nanohives will mean more people running out of ammo.
With the nearly universal -25% DPS (or more) once you look at the upcoming damage mod meta, heavies will be harder to drop which means it will be easier for them to apply DPS to vehicles (although the grenade nerf still hurts AV).
So in other words, this indirectly makes infantry AV more survivable vs. other infantry, not by much, and won't mean that infantry will be able to solo tanks easily again, but it will mean that when they do want to put some heat on, they will be a little more able to. |

And how is that going to help AV players vs. vehicles with the nerfbatted damage mods? Another tanker that claims to know whats good.
Actually, read the last paragraph there. I'm actually not a tanker, but I did spec partly heavy AV, mostly with forge gun, and really haven't had an issue with AV this patch to be honest. I think infantry AV lies in skilled heavies rather than medium infantry AV. |
